John L. Smith disappeared for a year and then re-emerged in Ann Arbor under the alias "Rich Rodriguez" for three seasons.

So glad Smith is gone. I don't think the Michigan State football team could handle another meltdown.

o, if he didnt lose at the last minute against notre dame the week before, this wouldnt have happen, but since it happened 2 weeks in a row, he slapped himself, so part of it is because of the notre dame game
