@tonicmass the same with a lot of male records, but the longjump final today was like half a meter less so i guess thats a bit strange ;-)

also americans, 100-200m female record is made by doping, Flo died for it.

@speedyslime93 soviets and east germans were all on steroids in those days

Monster jump, but I prefer Drechsler and Joyner-Kersee's styles.
-
@speedyslime93 the answer is a good steroids regime
-
@tonicmass the problem with this is that training routines included drug dosages-from the early 1960s. the sport didnt treat them as cheaters, and for some time just turned a blind eye to it. only when the mid-late 1970s came did the anti drug position gather momentum. when testing started, then actual cheating started. since then its been harder and harder to cheat, and those who do cheat are forced to use exotic and far less effective methods. test gives much greater gains for women than men.

Saying this is a poor landing is like to say Neal Armstrong did a poor mooning, finish the schools at least before using internet.

How much shit talk in only 1 post kid.
In long jump doping counts as alchool counts for driving.
Try to use steroids and than come back and tell me if you jump any longer

this jump wrote history. but the signing at the side of the ground here is very poor. the organisators should have made that more marked that the peaple can read the meters easier

every country dope with anabolika in the 80´s...
I belive that most of the female world records during the 1980´s was doping records, maybe a few clean ones but not, 100 , 200 , 400, 100 mhurdles, shootput, longjump, I think those records are records set by cheaters!

what i want to know is how on earth a female athlete jumped that far with such a poor landing. she lost about a foot because her butt fell into the sand prematurely instead of her thrusting it into the mark created by the feet like most horizontal jumpers do- if she had she could have jumped nearly 8 metres which is on par with the world-class male athletes of today!
