  • light is neither a wave nor particle, its just light

  • Hey awesome video! You should sign up at xInd dot ca and embed it there so we can share it with all our members! We're always looking for the best videos of all sorts to promote to our network and I can see our members would enjoy your stuff. Thanks!

  • @jakeZaks2012 then explain the interference patterns observed from a simple interferometer or double slit experiment. you cant just say its one or the other, its both. Even QED uses waves dynamics in its description.

  • @obviousfakename7, quantum electrodynamics (QED) regards light as a particle, and the theory explains ALL of light's properties and effects in terms of moving photons.

When you try to detect light, you ONLY ever detect a particle, NEVER a wave. So, light is a particle.

"QED" by Richard Feynman for a non-technical explanation. Also, Google "vega" and "feynman" for lectures on this.

  • life comes in little particals

  • @obviousfakename7 your a teacher?

  • @datzfast: LOL. If by "this theory" you mean Quantum Mechanics, then no, it hasn't been debunked. Neither has the Wave-Particle duality of light and other small particles. The results of the double slit experiment haven't been debunked either. So what are you talking about?

  • @Bludgeonier: When there is only one slit, there is no interference pattern. I think you mean "even when only one photon passes through the slits at a time, the interference pattern forms".
