That was funny as hell! I love these behind-the-scenes stuff that was caught while they were goofing off in the studio between serious bouts of recording. You never knew what might inspire the next great hit, so they recorded everything. And they obviouisly didn't know the lyrics to this song! LMAO!! Thanks for the smile.

@joetubealong If you read Dave Davies' (lead guitarist and founder of the KINKS) autobiography, you'ds know the Beatles didn't really like too many other groups or musicians and Eric Burdon was a hard one to get along with even if you liked him. I don't think this was a swipe at the Animals as much as it was just them playing around and having fun in the studio.

Traditional songs like this don't sometimes say who wrote it. This song goes back before the 1930's. By now it has been changed some and no one person holds the rights to the song. That's why soooo many people have done the song, but Dylan did it before The Animals. Eric Burden does just have the appeal and does it great.
