there was this electro-something track that was in the charts here in germany a couple of years ago, which i think had scenes from gits or something similar in its musicvideo (i clearly remember a robot getting ripped apart by bullets), i heard the track in a club last week and i cant remember what its name was -.- can somebody here tell me its name?

Starting from the tv series to the end in GITS 2 is a possibility, because after the whole puppeteer guy explaining how his consciouness is the collection of several egos in SSS, it makes sense how at the end of GITS 1 Motoko basically becomes a collective consciousness of the puppet master and herself.

The important thing you need to realize is that Oshii is asking us, what is the difference between the immaterial mind and an AI, when 0s and 1s can imitate flawlessly.
