    i always found the outer 2 mvmts to be harder to access, but after hearing the scherzo to the 9th, i see how Mahler got there through these outer mvmts

  • For me it is the three middle movements that make this symphony so unique. Great performance and picture/sound quality.

  • To be broadcast Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in Chicago by WFMT/WTTW. Recorded and filmed on Friday. October 15. 2010. Chicago Symphony,Pierre Boulez.. I was at the rehearsal and the performance. What an experience! Kiddleliddle
