A Secret Worth Keeping

The plot:

Before the video Derek and Vicky are caught kissing in the middle of the night right after Derek comes home from military school for the summer. (He was shipped there for increasing delinquit behavior). Derek thought it would be funny to say it was Casey and Victoria really didn't want her Mom to find out she had a habit of sneaking out so they pretended that she was Casey since it was dark. Victoria didn't say much. Casey was pissed and no one believed her when she tried to tell them it was Victoria and then Derek tells her to just get him back because he's not going back to military school for a while(The beginning voice-clips).

Casey figures that the only way to get back at him is to get with his twin Owen who lives with his mom since she is more strict and is in much worse shape than Derek. So she dyes her hair blonde to never be mistaken for ICKY VICKY ever again, and goes to Owen and gets with him even though she is terrified of him and his habits. Victoria is a little sad that Casey is mad at her because they were actually developing a friendship while Derek was with her. Derek consoles her by hugging her(Pretend that Casey is Derek...) Also, after Casey gets with Owen, every blonde girl is Casey, and every time you see Casey, pretend she has blonde hair.

Derek sees Casey in the hallway one day at a mall(which is actually school in the episodes, but pretend)and tries to chase her down, but she escapes...running off to be with Owen like she had been for the past week.

Then he starts to realize why he had been with Victoria. She was the closest thing to Casey, without actually being Casey. He tries to tell Victoria that he just can't be with her anymore and she and him get into a huge fight. Then Victoria figures out he never had feelings for her, but for Casey. So she leaves.

Owen falls head over boots(cause guys don't normally wear heels) for Casey and in the car tells her he loves her. But she leaves him and he knows that he just messed up everything with her.

Then Derek decides to finally talk about the thing with Victoria and why he told their parents it was actually her and she understood. He knew he loved her for a reason, and she admitted she loved him to. Then Casey officially leaves Owen because Derek finally came clean with his feelings for her. Owen goes into deep depression and Victoria is pissed.

So Victoria tells Casey that she is hurt, feeling betrayed, and absolutely certain she never wants to speak to her ever again. Owen and Derek treat each other not as enemies, or as friends, but as strangers who never want to know that they ever knew each other. Owen attempted to hang himself and Derek and Victoria got into one more fight before she realized that she was never going to be with him again.

Derek then explained what happened to his parents and they were so accepting that even though Casey admitted she loved Derek more than step-brother/step-sister ways that she was angry at their un-argued approval. Maybe she likes that chaos?

Casey tries to make peace with Victoria but she is adamant that she never wants to talk to her so Casey just gives up.

And even though the summer was wrought with a lot of heartache and confusion, both Derek and Casey were okay...their relationship with one another only becoming stronger through it all.

@BleedingxRainbow A Secret Worth Keeping...by...I'm pretty sure they are called firestarter or something along the lines of that. Look up the song name and you'll definately find it. Any problems finding it I'll look up the name of the band for you. : )

It was supposed to be for the video, but it's not REALLY them in the show. It's from another show called As The World Turns. :)
