See the soladin? How many panels have you got connected to it? Does it need a lot to get it working like 40 volts dc? And does a man come round and measure that meter for you? I just wondered if you can do without the meter and just tie grid it to reduce your final bill without adding meters that a man has to come round and read...

is the air intake outside? that would make it colder on cold days than having it from inside the house.
kantwinnada, since the pipe is uninsulated it will lose a lot of heat when it is very cold out. t insulating the hot air pipe should be fairly easy.
I like where the fan is, that would eliminate almost all noise from the house.

Hi. nice Works your projects
I have green energy projects (click acarcim)
and its attractive!
Was thinking of building one but, wondering how it works when it is really cold out like 10 or 15 degrees Fahrenheit?

It's still early days yet, it is minus 1 centigrade at the moment, and we have had no sun at all so the heater temperature is about the same as the ambient temp. I will let you know when I get sunnier days.

Nice work.
Any tips for someone trying this for the first time?

with the heater, keep it simple and use as much scrap material as possible, so that if it does not work, you have lost nothing
