Maybe if I get some time, I'm in my last year of my Ph.D, and don't have a lot of time.

How did you make the shadow?

I'm not sure if this is the most optimal way to make it happen, but after I finished the animation of the tree, I encapsulated it, duplicated it, and then within the duplicate, I used a warp layer to skew the duplicate tree to the ground. I used a gradient to change the shadow to black.
