Boehner on CNNs Situation Room: Dems Stealth Stimulus Means More Spending, More Taxes, and More Debt

http://gopleader.gov Appearing on CNNs The Situation Room today, House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) expressed serious concerns about Democrats plans for a stealth stimulus of spending and borrowing to make up for the trillion-dollar stimulus that isnt working. Boehner highlighted the discrepancy between President Obamas pledge that the trillion-dollar stimulus would keep unemployment below eight percent and the harsh reality of the unemployment rate now nearing 10 percent. Boehner said Democrats should instead focus on Republicans better solutions to help small businesses create jobs and get the economy moving again. On Afghanistan, Boehner reiterated his request for the Obama Administration to allow General Stanley McChrystal to testify before Congress on the future of U.S. strategy in Afghanistan. In recent days, Boehner has warned of the dangers of the Administration delaying a decision on whether to send more troops to Afghanistan, as General McChrystal has requested.

The vast bulk of the "stimulus" bill funds have not been released and instead are timed to release in coordination with the 2010 & 2010 election cycles.

This is a documented fact easy to go research. Why Boehner doesn't harp on that point makes no sense to me as the bill was clearly about politics and not about real stimulus. We were put in deep debt for no good reasons.

They also created the medical oversight apparatus (death panel) in that bill. Why would you do that in a "stimulus" bill...?

I'm clearly AGAINST OBAMA, however the only real arguments here against him on this are.

1. Are our troops really in greater danger, are more troops actually dead because of this delay?

2. Is Al-Queda actually thriving under the Taliban run country?

As usual, the media throws out those suggestions to fire up both sides of the political spectrum.

As for another stimulus package, every single American needs to march on Washington if that happens.

The Treasury Department announced that the federal government ran a $1.42 TRILLION BUDGET DEFICIT in 2009, about 10% of GDP.

That's the largest nominal budget deficit in history, & the largest as a percentage of GDP since World War II.

From 1789 to 2008, the federal government borrowed about $5.8 trillion!

In just two years, 2009 & 2010, the government will borrow nearly ***$3 TRILLION MORE***!
