James Jones to John McCain: "I Don't Play Politics With Nat'l Security"

Appearing on CNN's "State of the Union with John King" Sunday morning, White House National Security Adviser Jim Jones offered a carefully worded but stern rebuke to former Republican presidential candidate John McCain.

In a speech on the Senate floor last week, the Arizona Republican said that Jones and others in the Obama administration were kowtowing to the political left.

Asked about that by King, Jones replied: "I've known John McCain a long time, I worked with him when he was a captain."

McCain, Jones said, knows that "I don't play politics and I certainly don't play politics with our national security. I take exception to that remark."

He is playing politics with that very response, "men and women's lives are on the line." Women do not serve nor have ever served in ground combat units such as infantry, artillery and armor. As a matter of fact, to date, less than 3% of combat deaths are female while over 98% are male. Over 70% are white men, look it up then judge. As always middle and lower class white men carry the hard dirty load that is sometimes required.
