Shot at the historic Mulford Farm in East Hampton at a Colonial Encampment. What the well dressed military person wore into battle. Also, what the fashion for Colonial women was highlighted.

  • Cotton was used more during the last quarter of the 18th century, but still was not nearly used as much as linen.

  • @hersorey4321 ...Linen and wool were the most common materials used for clothing during the Revolutionary War period, and cotton was also used frequently. Silk, however, was around and used, but only by the wealthy. It all was based on your status in society.

  • I love this fashion show - but I wonder about the statement about the clothes being cotton or linen. Wasn't cotton introdued later, silk in use and wool common?
