Malawi's president has rejected calls to stand down after two days of deadly protests. At least 18 people have been killed and 44 wounded. The demonstrators accuse the elected President, Bingu wa Mutharika, of overseeing a steep economic decline. The authorities use of force to try stop the unrest has drawn widespread international condemnation. Jonathan Josephs reports.
