Balinese Hinduism combines aspects of Animism, Ancestor Worship, Buddhism, and Hinduism. Some of these beliefs date back more than 4000 years. Indian merchants first arrived in Bali in about 200 BCE and it was probably these people who introduced Buddhism and Hinduism. The various competing Hindu and Buddhist sects in Bali have fused into a single ... Hindu and Buddhist texts are the source foundation of Bali Hindu.

@Tykilover The Pendan is saying "chak" to synchronize the dancers, the dance was devised from historical ritual dances such as the sanghyang and baris by Walter Spies and Wayan Limbak in the 1920's.

This is gonna sound really stupid (because it is) but in drama we're doing Artaud who really loved Balinese theatre and traditions and we wish to use this...so...we were wondering
...are there genuine words in this or are they just sounds? Our group is hoping to reproduce bits of this/something like this and we weren't sure if the noises were just monkey-esque or some were words. If so then I'm not sure we'll do it (we wouldn't want to disrespect this). Hoping someone knows.
