Clip of one of John Cleese's appearances on Joker's Wild. This is from 1971.

John Cleese delivers a mother-in-law joke but with a difference. Its how a nuclear scientist explains the danger of eating radioactive cabbages to a mother-in-law. In plain, simple English.

The clip actually comes from a Paul Merton TV series from 1995 called "Paul Merton's Life of Comedy".

  • fucking crazy - this is Gene Barry's Joker's WIld we're talking about, here? What an awesome spiel - certainly never saw him try anything like that in the series or in the films. (I remember Palin as the WW II pilot and his indecipherable banter) Wish they had more of this episode......maybe have him answer some skill-testing questions ("I'll take Naked Equestrian for 200, Jack") or he could act like the "Spot the Brain Cell" host. or act like Ken Clean Air System?
