A very naive analogy. A whole myriad of plants will grow in succession on uncovered soil. You may start with grass but it will modify the soil making it eventually more ideal for scrubs which will rob the grass of sun and kill it, but in turn the soil will evolve to support trees which will kill the scrubs. The grass is analogous to individuals while trees are large corporations. Where's the government? That would be the gardner trying to get MANY plants to flourish not just the big trees.
It's quite obvious that government gets in the way of achievement. What we have to do is argue the philosophical and moral case for capitalism, achievement and profit. If there is a free-market where people believe profit is evil it will be as big a failure as a socialist system where profit is regarded as good by society.
