For a lot of people 2008 was the first election they were ever involved in...........DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENED THAT NIGHT........ A prodominantly white country came together and elected a candidate not based on skin color

Actually we are not all americans. we all came from a country. Our ancestors came from some other part of the world so we are not just american we are either hispanic, african, italian, or whatever american. Race did have something to do with it

which world do you live in? Obviously part of it is because he's black because, if you didn't know, America has had a long history of discrimination against blacks, blacks couldn't even vote before that 60's that's not so long ago. Of course any one with a heart will be happy that a Black man has finally won election. @ugboy1 You are right!!! Bush called upon the forces of nature and sent that hurricane to New Orleans! He is so diabolical! I dont have all of the facts yet but Im 90% positive that he is also responsible for hurricane Hugo! I certainly feel less ignorant after reading your comment! To be honest, i couldnt spell Katrina.
