Aww, come on.. I'm just 48!! Seriously.., yes I'm old but music helps a lot .. I started playing bass with my self-taught gtr technique (nails on my R-hand and all the rest..) ,bought a digital Korg portastudio and ..found myself on the verge of a second youth! Now after my job I just wanna play and play and play (my wife's not getting any younger..)

I have only one recommendation and honestly, don't take it as an amazing one at that:

when playing sitting down, place the bass in between your legs(like a classical guitar player would). It helped me ALOT and I really recommend it.

I absolutely agree with you but just consider that was after Xmas lunch, and,man, here in Italy we EAT a disastrous amount of food, plus 100cc of Tormore (found it musically disinhibiting). I just crumbled om that sofa! I love bass gtrs, my teenage idol was McCartney('s 4001) then Genesis with Rutherford('s doublenecks). I love MM basses, I have a HHBlack Stingray,it roars and growls! Even thru my battered Fender\GK amps. Bass for life? Gibson Victory Artist. Stunning! Try one!

the sound sucks yes but the playing was good!
