I have a massive soft spot for these Corvettes. I do have to admit it is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine (don't be too hard on me for saying that), I'm just more a fan of European cars. But I have driven a few of these, both TPI and crossfire. They just have a load of character and soul, I love the eightiesness of the interior and the tron-esque digital dash. i would love to own one one day.

I have a 1984 Corvette too. It's such a pleasure to drive it that I drive it every day.

the only thing i don't like about my 84 is the passenger bumper it kinda smashes the mood when me and my girl go for a ride. but the big CORVETTE stamp comps for it lol.

I love the 84 Corvette. I'm buying one this summer and restoring it as well as doing a few modifications like adding ferrari doors done over to mimic the look of the testerosa's doors, adding magnaflow fuel exhausts and mufflers as well as a few other thing. I'm a huge fan of the targa top also..beautiful car

did you make that steering wheel yourself?

Very nice car. Very impressive for a 1984 vehicle!! Awesome sound and acceleration and dashboard.

My first car is a 1984 corvette, i love it. it's fast enogh but yet good on fuel. the only problem i have is that in the winter, when it gets real cold. it takes me about 5 minutes to get it started. besides that it's a great car.
Nice '84 Vette! I have enjoyed all of your Corvette videos. I always liked Corvette's growing up, but this summer I finally got bit by the Corvette bug. I am 22 and still in college so budget is a little tight so I am looking at 84-89 C4's for my first Corvette as they seem to be priced just right in the current market. I want to get one that is in pretty good shape and then restore it to original condition as nice as possible. What are your thoughts on Crossfire vs. TPI?

@obc1500 TPI is much better. But Crossfire is more unique. If you get a '84 Corvette with crossfire, you either need to be able to service it yourself, or find someone who knows how to work on them. Not many mechanics do. Crossfire can be modified for improved performance if you have time and money to do so. TPI is much easier to modify for higher performance.
