While not on the same level as Muzio, Cerquetti or Dimitrova, she
definitely a thousand times better than Stella and Milanov.

Lei ha debuttato nel ruolo di Turandot in Met con Franco Corelli e Pilar Lorengar in 1970.Per me lei era la piu grande Turandot nel teatro lirico.

Ma ci sono le due altre registrazioni della Cavalleria con la superba Ross.Dal Met con Franco Corelli e G.Sarabia e dalla Philadelphia con Richard Tucker,Matteo Manuguerra e Frederica von Stade.

Splendia la Ross--grazie tanto--ha cantato anche "Cavalleria" (nei panni di Santuzza--La Scala--con GF Cecchele). She really merits more notice on Youtube, so I hope there are live in house or pirated recordings that might surface. I think her Met debut was not until 1970 as Aida.

I have hopes more of her work will surface on recordings that were done in house or pirated as she had a dramatic voice of real merit and should be better represented here--thank you. Grazie tanto a lido2008ve di averci dato un altro brano dalla Ross. Nel archivio storico della Scala ci sono foto di lei in Santuzza con Cecchele--non so se esiste una registrazione di quella "Cavallaria".
