Nevada Rocks The Song :D

"Down the Field" is also the song that the Lehigh University Marching 97 uses to perform the "Marching LEHIGH" maneuver after every halftime show. Check out the "Marching 97 Archive Footage" at 3 minutes.

Take note of how we pronounce Nevada in the song, folks.
Short a, not long a.

"Down the Field" was written in around 1905 by the band director at my alma mater, Union High School in Union, Mississippi.
The original words are:
Sing out for Union High
Onward to Victory
Fight, Fight, we'll win or die
Keep fighting for Union High
Sing out our battle cry
Onward to victory
Yellowjackets, go for a touchdown
Union High!
