Hello fellow book worms! I am uploading this weeks book review and I can't wait to give this series away next week (Wednesday, January 26!) since it's one of my favorites! The Uglies trilogy centers around a young 16 year old Tally Youngblood. She lives in a city approximately 500 years in the future where technology and eco city's have saved the earth from human destruction. Although the new societies are built around eco-friendly living environments, they have also developed cosmetic surgeries for all citizens to make them "pretty" and pretty much all the same. In this society, all citizens are taken over by the surgeries and loose themselves in a fantasy world that Tally is determined to destroy. This series is a great read for everyone ages 13+! I highly recommend this series and I hope you enjoy this review!

  • Not to be a 'butt' I guess, but there are more then 2 towns, but they are pretty towns, and when the new pretties age, they do get responsibilities as middle pretties, which they work their dream jobs until they are 'crumblies'.

    Good review otherwise.

But anyone who reads this, please don't skip books, you really will understand nothing if you miss the first book. :]

    Good job though!

  • @xXRainbowSugarXx No worries! :) I've been having a hard time condensing the series into a short video without giving away any major plot points. But you are correct, I will make sure to increase details such as this in my upcoming reviews. Have fun reading and thanks for commenting! :)

  • OMG I TOTALLY JUST READ THIS ON WEDNESDAY!

  • @habbobeyond How did you like them? :)

  • I am so excited to read this series, so I really hope I can win the contest.

  • @BrittSoung4 I am randomly choosing a winner as we speak! I'm hoping to have another contest for Valentines Day so look out for that one too! I'll post the contest winner for The Uglies box set tomorrow!

  • I love this book, but I felt like your review was mostly a summary of what the book was about and not an in-depth critique of the story and characters. I mean you just say its futuristic over and over but wheres the analysis of the dynamic of their world and discussion of the morality of the government.

  • @zj211 tell you what, my teacher made my class read this book in a book club when I was 12, which was a couple months ago. Honestly, everyone loved it and it was awesome. I actually made a really short video about it in my channel. I loved it so much I bought the whole seres. I totally recommend it:) like got to the library right now and get it:) lol
