eBay is often used merchandise or merchandise purchased wholesale and sold by a small company attempting to purge it's warehouse (a spare room in a small house).
I'm assuming that all prices are new in the original package from a standard merchant, but eBay is a great idea for cheaper stuff.

I recommend buying a nice keyboard with a built-in jog/shuttle wheel. The one I use, which isn't terribly expensive, is the Bella Professional Series 3.0 Final Cut Pro Video Editing Keyboard. I did a review on it.

I showed myself performing the various motions, then showed how the motions responded on the computer. What else were you looking for? Other than what I showed, it works exactly as stated and demoed.
