Don Pasquale Contest - Patrizia Ciofi

I am hoping that this is a fun way to enjoy some new artists and new videos. The most important aspect of these "contests" is not the outcome, rather, it is exploring new artists and differnt styles. At least that is what I hope my videos represent. This is a fun aria so enjoy.

The run up to that high note after the long scale is awful, and the last note is AWFUL, guys! Totally sharp! How she gets away with this is beyond me.

but on the plus side, thank god she has put some weight on since her Lucia, c 2005/6 I think where she was about 6 stone, looked like a skeleton.  The Lucia is amazing but truly horrific to watch.

She's great! You must to see her life, must feel her, cause she's much much better then on TV or recordings...

I'm not fond of her in anything that goes higher than an A (and even those get a little messed up sometimes), but this wasn't bad. I too dislike the "lack of purity" mentioned by tinyvoicedgheorghiu and as a result, 3/4.
