This is a real video (2 min. 49 seconds) from a French documentary about Africa ... You may not understand a word, but the video is funny. There are trees that grow in Africa which, once a year, produce very juicy fruits that contain a large percentage of alcohol. The tree is known as the "Elephant Tree," because elephants have a fondness for the fruit. Because there is a shortage of water, as soon as the fruits are ripe, animals come there to help protect themselves from the heat. What happens next, you can watch for yourselves. You can easily tell who over indulged!...
The tree is the Marula tree. You can buy a great liqueur named "Amarula," which is made with Marula fruit and cream.
ADDENDUM: I just went to check Wikipedia and much to my chagrin, it appears that this really is a set up. This is what it says:
"The marula fruit is also eaten by various animals in Southern Africa. In the movie Animals Are Beautiful People by Jamie Uys, released in 1974, some scenes portray elephants, warthogs and monkeys becoming intoxicated from eating fermented marula fruit. Later research showed that these scenes were improbable and, in all probability, staged. Elephants would need a huge amount of fermented marulas to have any effect on them, and other animals prefer the ripe fruit. The amount of water drunk by elephants each day would also dilute the effect of the fruit to such an extent that they would not be affected by it."
You cleally do not know marulas dude. Ask someone who comes from Africa, potent stuff, and to clear up a myth, this movie was not shot by a french camera crew but by South Africans, This is just a translated version. Look up Jamie Uys.

@llewellleo I did look up Jamie Uys, and Wikipedia do say that in one of his movie there is such a behaviour, but I also looked up another article from National Geographics - and for some reason whenever I put a link here it won't go through, I'll try to revise my description and include the link - everyone should read this.
