V8 Nissan 180sx 427 - 1st Start

First Start up of my 7ltr V8 Nissan 180sx. The build has taken 14 months so far & it's now nearly ready for the racetrack. It's been built for Circuit Racing, Hillclimbs & Drift. Expected 500hp at the wheels. The car weighs 1100kgs.

Yes its in a 180sx. The engine is moved back 200mm through the firewall. Will post another video when its on the dyno.

lol be serious , the sr20det has never been considered good , go the v8 they dont even weigh all that much and give sooo much more power than a sr also with this thing called " torque " the sr owners havnt experienced

Maybe its cause every man and his dog has a fully sick 180 with sr20 blow off valve and coil overs drift piggy... thats why i have done it, cause it turns more heads and confuses more ppl than a standard SR.... plus it sounds fucking sick

Why are people insisting on absolutely butchering this fine piece of Nissan's history - yeah its just my opinion, but the SR20DET is one of the greatest engines ever manafactured - hence its repeated use for 20 years!! The 180sx deserves better - stop the violence lol

Crap that is such a donk to have in a 1200Kg car! even thou it sits back in the firewall how does it go for being front heavy? Should check my V8 180sx... only a 4L but alot easier to fit in ;) Sounds tough! more vids!

It's a sweet moment hearing that V8 purrr for the first time. Can't wait to see it on the track some time soon.
