CSX TOLEDO SUB, PART 1
(Between Hamilton & Vandalia, OH.)

View coverage of this single track mainline in Southwest Ohio between Hamilton and Vandalia Ohio. This footage was shot in 2009 from early Spring to late Fall. Being a single track line with an adequate amount of traffic, the action is intense. Numerous passing sidings along the way make for interesting railroading.

Locations covered include: Hamilton, New River Yard, Trent, Trenton, Middletown, W. Middletown, Carlisle, Miamisburg, Dayton, and Vandalia.

The CSX Toledo Sub serves as an artery between Detroit and Cincinnati, Louisville and other points to the South. Automobiles and auto parts trains make up the majority of consists but you'll also see grain, coal, and regular manifest trains.
