Getting Started With Amazon EC2

In this "Getting Started with Amazon EC2" video we will:
1. Create an EC2 account
2. Start an AMI (Amazon Machine Image) that is free to use
3. Start an IBM AMI (that needs to be purchased)
And we will do this in 8 minutes or less.

Would be much better to start with a list of small steps, doing the steps, then summarise the steps.
For example:
sign in Amazon AWS,
sign up for EC2,
create certificate and security key pairs,
configure firewall,
launch a free AMI,
access the AMI,
shutdown the AMI.

EC2 is far too confusing. I think I'm going to stick to Rackspace for now. :( I was actually wanting to try something new, but I had no idea how complicated it would be to get this setup.
