Time to Listen is a documentary about six currently and formerly homeless individuals living in San Jose, CA. During the film each person speaks about their struggles, both past and current, how they became homeless and what occurs during their daily lives. One individual, Eric Rasbury, is featured in the film with segments that start off with his frustrations of living in shelters and lead up to him finding housing of his own. The film focuses on the theme of dispelling widespread stereotypes that think of the homeless as dirty, lazy and uneducated. Through each characters story the audience gains a better perspective of what the homeless go through in their lives and that there are many aspects of homelessness to which we are blind.
