  • @meltdown1232000 yes the planes look similar, but the yak 3 appeared much earlier and it's a development of the Yak 1. The soviets had some very good fighters but they are not well known in the west, just like much of the warfare on the eastern front, the eastern front is poorly known in the west.

  • Good birdy

  • loth733 The Hurricane shot down more German aircrafts than the Spitfire during the air battle for England, still, the Spitfire is my favourite. I saw it for the first time when visiting London with my dad as a 10 year old boy - it was love at first sight.

  • sorta looks like a Mustang with a fat butt.

  • Yak 9 is better, but this is still a great aircraft with a great sound. Great pass and sound at 4:56!

  • excellent fighter

  • From memory, I believe a restoration in Russia will be attempting to use an original Klimov. It should be interesting when it's finished.

  • They've got it rong though the Messerschmitt was better up high not the Yak because the russians lacked the good superchargers that the germans had.

  • the only draw back to the frist yak was it hade no radio or fuel gage which i find impressive cuz they timed how much fuel they hade left
