Sorry, but this is wrong, I've never seen anyone hit the bottom, you need to be gentle and keep heat low as possible, it must be made slowly, the telve will go to bottom if you do this way anyway. And you do not boil Turkish coffee, you get it from oven when it starts to boil, otherwise coffee will burn and taste and texture will be completely different.

There are many ways to make Turkish, even at our coffeehouse--over the last 40 years--different people have had slightly different variations to the process. We don't all tap the ibrik, but the 3 boils are an essential part of the process. You can find this in several other videos of Turkish coffee making as well. The three boils has been and will continue to be a tradition of Mullah's Teahouse.
