I would suggest using an aluminium tripod for your camera but I guess the tripod would only end up being another Giant Robot part. Hehee

P.S. You should create some kind of mount for your camera so you can still have use of both hands. I keep picturing something going horribly wrong while you're trying to juggle a camera and the use of power tools.
