hello! just wanted to share with you the preparations I've made to start writing my book-- comfy clothes, a (relatively) clean environment, plenty of beverages (yeah San Pellegrino and Perrier and kombucha), big old post it note flip charts, good pens, blank paper, frankincense in the air and lots of light and love.

What do you do to "set the scene" for productivity?

haha-- to clean I always play awesome music- it helps. and someone I know cleans "like a rockstar" while wearing high heels. that's kinda hot too!

enjoy :)

  • I enjoyed your video. How did the writing go? I'm an aspiring writer, just self-published a short story on Amazon. I think that 'setting' is very crucial for writing. One of the most important things for me is being comfy! If I'm not comfy, I cannot do anything.

  • im writing a book to a horror novel about werewolves i may only be junior in high school but my freinds have read my prologue and love it good luck on your book

  • Great video! People tend to underestimate how enviornment can influence writing. I have also found that a balance has to be struck between the time spent creating an enviornment and getting down to the business of actually writing a book to avoid that, "getting ready to get ready" syndrome as I call it, lol. Also as far as publishing, are you submitting to traditional publishers or doing the self publishing thing? I'm just starting to learn about the industry.

  • @DAN5675able would love to read it!

    what's yours about?

  • @fmaotaku2010 it's called "Confessions of a Six-Figure Coach: How I went from $0 to over $200k in less than 2 years, and how you can do it too"

it comes out Jan 1 2012 on Amazon and Kindle :)
