Tree Walker Coon Hound - pups

I am a foster home for these little pups. Loko, the one with the bone, is smaller than Clara, but doesn't let her push him around. Clara eventually finds her own bone. They are 12 weeks old.

Just wondering, can a walker get along with cats? I want a kitty really badly...

I am fostering a 3 year old tree walker and I have a cat. They are fine together. But if Sydney (Tree Walker) sees a cat while we're on a walk, she'll want to chase it.

I had a walker. He died of cancer back in January '09. I miss the bark.. We are wanting to get another. Walkers are a wonderful breed!!

So sorry to hear about your walker. I am now fostering a 3 year old walker and she's a sweetheart. I've had her since April and when I got her she had heartworm, roundworm, pneumonia, and very skinny. She's now rid of all that and has gained 22 pounds, so she's doing great now. I know what you mean about missing the bark. Call me crazy, but her bark is almost soothing. I love it.

I must agree. The bark is almost soothing. It's sad some people can't stop to appreciate it. My neighbors always complained of the bark. Got me in trouble a couple times. But I'd give anything to have him back.

Mine doesn't bark much. Sometimes I ring my doorbell just to hear her bark. lol

@Kingcobrasaurus i have coonhound and she loves my two cats. she just looks at them and walks away and she'll snuggle with them

@Kingcobrasaurus I had two cats when I brought my Walker home. There was an adjustment period but we all survived. For the record, My Treeing Walker has yet to win "one" against the cats.
