When a local Texas policeman, Steve Russell (Jim Carrey), turns to cons and fraud to allow him to change his lifestyle (in more ways than one), his subsequent stay in the state penitentiary results in his meeting the love of his life, a sensitive fellow inmate named Phillip Morris, perfectly portrayed by Ewan McGregor. What ensues can only be described as a relentless quest as Russell attempts escape after escape and executes con after con, all in the name of love. This is the world of the preposterous: it plays like a farce but is vastly entertaining because it turns all that we take for granted about life on its head. As a primer on the irresistible power of a man who is either insane or in love (is there a difference?), "I Love You Phillip Morris" surely serves to remind us of the resilience of the human spirit.

Since the title of this vid said the film has a distributor, it would help if you let us know what exactly is the distributor for this film in US. Is it Fox Searchlight, Paramount Vantage, Focus, or what? So those of us who are interested easier to find it.

I think Jim Carrey is an AMAZING actor regardless of the role he is playing in a movie or what other people think of the plot of the movie it self . And it is more than fair to show his work where has put a lot of effort to make it a success like any other movie he has played in.

Anybody who wont see this movie because of the subject matter is a fool. I mean, what is your excuse? Because your not gay? ridiculous...there is not one logical explanation anyone can give as to why this is not worth seeing......hating homosexuals is no different than hating woman, or people of other races of cultures..I myself am straight, however the world is changing, homosexuals will be an accepted part of the community in the future, Jim sees that...he is smart..this will be a classic
