CPE Bach writes, that the harpsichord and clavichord are best for accompaniments, but actually nowadays we almost never hear the clavichord for basso continuo. In recordings however, we can easily balance the dynamics.
Here an Allegro by Abel which sounds very galant with clavichord. The combination with a traveso flute is in my opinion even better.
