People that think Citizen Kane is boring are absolutely foreign to me. How can you find a film boring that is one of the greatest, most compelling character studios to hit the big screen? So many interesting scenes are in Kane, so many beautiful shots that make your eyes light up with their brilliance. Granted, it isn't everyone's cup of tea since some don't like turning on their brains when they go to the theater, but Kane is not a dull film in any stretch of the imagination.

Kane IS a dull movie. It has good acting and cinematography surrounded by a lifeless everything else. Even if some claim the script is great and is an "important story" it doesn't save how slow and boring the story tells itself.

I think it's boring too. Trying to build up one movie as the "greatest of all time" is a little silly. There are a lot of good movies, but nine times out of ten, I'd probably rather watch The Parent Trap or Monty Python and the Holy Grail instead of Kane.
