Wrong: the 50's have Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, Big Joe Turner, Bill Haley, Elvis Presley, and more ... anyone who was doing "rock n roll" in the 60's, such as the Beatles or the Rolling Stones (or anyone else), simply went on from what the guy's in the 50's started.

It doesn't matter how old I am, I'll just say I'm young, and right now listening to this I'm all nostalgic for a period I did not even live in, which makes this all quiet sad. Once youngsters used to meet and dance together enjoying the music and each other's company; now there are mostly claustrophobic discos with blinding lights, hideous tunes, being all cool and in and showing off .

THIS is true rock and roll, what happened in the 70s was just rock, which developed from this.

Elvis was putting out hits before Chuck Berry ever charted.....do some damn research....if you want to give an african american a good deal of credit for helping start rock and roll........look at Little Richard, Ike Turner or Fats Domino......and whether you like it or not......Elvis brought this music to the masses
