A C# .NET example program of a Jabber Chatbot that talks on Gmail (GTalk). The example shows running the chatbot in Visual Studio 2010 and initiating a chat from another Gmail account. The C# .NET Jabber chatbot uses the XMPP protocol and AIM for conversation. The video also demonstrates basic chat bot artificial intelligence (AI) and integrating with a 3rd-party service, namely Gmail. • Nice job! Did you make this from scratch, or was some kind of programme used?

  • @fudgyhoops It was made from scratch in dot net. It uses 2 libraries, the XMPP SDK (for the Jabber protocol on Gmail) and the Alice SDK (for creating responses during chat). Connecting the two together gets a pretty cool chatbot. I wrote up a full article with details and source code. The link is in the description above.
