Man, know what's crazy?
It's been about 12 or more years since I've last played this yet I can still recall the rhythmic pattern of sound effects caused by the jump timing necessary to get through this level.
By comparing the sounds with what I remember I believe I had slightly different timing in the beginning (my instincts tell me better timing but who can really say?) though it averaged out near the end.
This is what happens when you play video games all the time in your formative years.
