I have entered an online video contest, and now I need help to get votes for me. If I have the most votes, I receive a trip to NYC to see Mary Poppins!

Voting is August 21-31. They will notify the winner September 1st. I have a 1 in 18 chance of winning.

Directions for Voting:
1. Go to http://www.broadwayworld.com/poppins.cfm
2. Scroll down to the video listing - "Lindsay D, Fishers, IN"
3. Directly above that listing, click on "Vote for Entry"

Sometimes, when you click on one of the videos, it will say "no longer available." If you just refresh your page, it should pull the video up again correctly.

For the contest, I had to learn the Broadway choreography for spelling Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I also did a little extra at the end and picked out Mary's dance steps as well. It looks a bit absent without a Bert, but hopefully, it will win!
Most of the other videos have the spelling choreography, but then they make up random steps for the rest of the song. I had fun learning it, and I probably should feel a little embarrassed that I love the show so much, but it's just so much fun.
Thanks!
Lindsay

The spelling choreography was broken down by the show's dance captain, but I had to figure out Mary's choreography at the end by watching up-to-speed videos of the cast. And I think it's nearly almost accurate to the actual show choreography. I did not wing any of this - it is all Broadway choreography. Thanks for voting!

  • how can i learn this choreography??

  • watch the videos online and break it down "very" slowly. :) It took me about 6 hours total to get it down pat.

  • This is brilliant - your dancing and your costume are amazing! Where did you get such a fab outfit? I have been looking or one for ages! x

  • Thanks for the nice comments! I'm a bit embarrassed that I have such a costume!

    1. Hat - (made from scatch: spray-painted straw hat from craft store; glue-gunned cherries and baby's breath; attached with antique hat pin

    2. cotton dress shirt (red ribbon I purchased and made)

    3. Gloves - children's department; found in the Easter clearance bin

    4. Skirt - my lucky find! $3 at a Salvation Army.

Now if I can just find the right carpet bag... haha
