This is an amateur tutorial. This part deals with the Approach Hold. It's not exactly a complete ILS tutorial, but I do explain how to set up for an ILS approach.

  • thx

  • please, how do i get my plane's nose to stop pitching up when i put it on a/p?

  • @george131407 Then you land visiually.

  • wtf i do everything you say but my plane wont do anything? Isnt this an auto-thing? What am i doing wrong??

  • what about if the airport dosent has an ILS?

  • I've followed your every direction, but my plane still won't land! I navigate using the GSP without a problem, but when I set everything up for approach hold my plane just won't do anything at all. I've double checked my frequencies - I hear the morse code! Two diamonds appear on the virtual horizon and everything. I have the switch set to NAV and everything. It just won't do anything at all! I turned off the altitude hold, just to see if anything happened. Nothing... Please halp? =)

  • @TheExcalibur356 when the glide slope indicator comes on turn on the app button

  • soo... when I turn on the approach button, I could just turn of the heading?

  • What's frustrating is that I can get the localizer, and then the G/S becomes active. however, once it goes below level flight, altitude doesn't disengage. Could accidentally activating APR hold before being on G/S affect this and cause altitude to not disengage?

  • @22Jeffreyb To answer your first question, there is a line of buttons consisting of toggling the GPS and the ACT window as you can see at 3:22. Watch where he clicks. It is the second button from the left. It looks kind of like an "A" with lines coming from the top. That's where you click for the radio stack. Second question, I'm certain you can set cruise altitude, but other than that I believe it is cockpit exclusive. I apologize if you wanted to hear this from DN (uploader) or if I am wrong.
