Hi there. Great video. Why does the disconnector fall down in battery during function testing. And sometimes the disconnector wont rise up causing the hammer not to fall when trying to pull the trigger and dry fire. How does someone remedy this problem?

Nice video, and great explanation. However, in the interest of maintaining proper firearm nomenclature, I must point out that there is no such thing as a "sear disconnect" on the 1911 pistol. The part being referenced is the "Disconnector." This may seem like a small point, but I think it important to call a spade a spade. A "clip" is not a "magazine," nor is a "disconnector" a "sear disconnect." Otherwise a decent post.

actually its my fathers gun who passed away last year,he was a retired policeman.he was the 1 who disable the grip safety,maybe its bcoz hes always in undercover duty...anyway how can i bring back the grip safety??

@163nel no have you tried to do a trigger job on it or anything it is safe to fire its just the safety isn't working

im new to guns safety,but i own 1.my guns hammer slams even though im not touching the grip safety....is it ok?

By the way, she's not pretty. don't flatter her.
I think the point she is trying to make is that safeties are not part of the function of a gun firing. Both definitions are correct.
