  • Also, even my 08 Exige s240 was only high 60s new. This Elise I paid 30,000 for with 1000 miles on it in 05 and sold it for 22 in 07 with 30,000 miles on it. I think it was in the 40s new. The only lotus in the hundreds is the evora, which still commands a huge price tag.

  • Yeah. All the things you say are true if being cool or impressive is important to you, but since I don't need to extend my dick with a car, it doesn't matter to me. King of the carshow? Lol, please.

  • No shit what's your point.

  • The Elise is "slow and boring?" 0-60 in 4.3 seconds for the supercharged, 4.9 for the normally aspirated, and 1.06 g's on the skidpad is boring? LOL! I think you need a 911 Turbo or a Ferrari 430 to outgun one of the SC Elises.

  • @csoulellis Or my BMW... :)

  • IDK what to tell all you guys. I owned it, it was boring. Also, I can't get behind a car that isn't "mine". By that I mean, all I did was pay for it. I probably would have thought it was a lot cooler if I'd have cut it up and put a different motor on it or something, but I didn't.

I don't like cars that all the owner did was pay for it. I like cars that are built from the ground up. So few Lotus are. Cool car if you want to buy "status" or performance cheap, I guess.

  • what i would do for that car.......

  • "slow and boring" ??? are you KIDDING me? not only are these things cheap, ($30,000 used, compaired to $120,000 new) but, they are exotic. these have a high status, bring one of these to any small town america, and you are the new high roller. this is the first era where exotics look cool now, and will always look cool. plus, they depreciate in value quickly, therefore you can be king of the car show real quick. plus, it takes like a ferrari to beat these things. slow- fuck that.

  • Because its red...lol!!!

  • @csoulellis

or a tvr, i own an elise myself, its a great car with little to go wrong but i would like a t350 or a tuscan s, top seed 180 (with a top speed reached of 205 by an owner) 0-60 3.7 seconds is fast for the same money as a second hand elise. But i went for the elise cause its reliable and cheap to keep on the road and is much better looking.

  • @tino76able we have twisty roads too! you just have to look. but I wont lie I would LOVE to tear up some twisty european road with a car like a lotus, you are one lucky guy.

california is known for some great canyon carving though and thats where I plan to move

  • 160mph as the highest speed on the gauge? That's pretty weak.

  • How much u pay for it?

  • i have a supercharged one. around the curves in the swiss alps it is one of the fastest cars! not for shopping, not for highways, not for useful things, just for fun. but for boring straight american highways it is of course a boring car.
