  • Watching Obama analyze complex issues is depressing...because it reminds you of the moronic cliches and surface level slogans we've settled for, for so many years...this man is a rare beacon of candor, intellect, and nuance, in a sea of stiffshirts that don't have half the knowledge he does. He's America's one, and perhaps last shot, at saving it's international reputation.

  • Wow. A Democrat with a smart, market-based health care plan. Amazing!

    Go Obama!

  • watch the film sicko

you'll get all your answers and you'll see the real game that's been playing behind the scean

  • Yes, we need health care reform, but I do NOT want government to run it. Government run ANYTHING will have to be paid by someone, where do you think that money comes from? Trees? Don't you think with all of these NEW govt. run programs they will run out of rich people to tax? Believe me, the middle class again will be screwed. Do you think GOOD doctors that go to school for 10 years, endure years of paying off loans will want to work for, uh, the govt?

  • I'm a college student who takes anti-epileptic pills monthly and has "school health insurance" which covers, $750 worth of perscriptions. Guess what happens when the $750 runs out? I have to pay around $500 for Keppra and $ for Lexapro. My parents are 61, and 69. One is unemployed looking for a job and has no insurance while to other is technically retired and has medicade. I cant ask my mom to help, and my dad helps out when he can.I'm getting a degree to better my life--WHICH INCLUDES HEALTH!

  • yes, it is... youtube(dot)com(backSLASH)watch?v=A7PYr-M72a0

  • I'm a healthcare worker, and I see how people are getting screwed by insurance companies. This man could bring something to the table to change things for the better. Our healthcare system is in dire need of repair, and Obama's ideas so far blow McCain's half assed shit out of the water.

  • If Obama, The Messiah, gets into office he plans on mandating health care and (I may be wrong about this, just the news I've heard from un-bias news sources) plans on fining people who do not have it. Which, to me, represents Socialism. Using your authority to mandate whether or not some one gets to make the choice for themselves. If Obama gets into office, it'd mean more taxes, taking our trips out of war and quite possibly universal health care.

  • does this not seem a little socialistic? He said if there are not enough people on the healthcare system he's considered a MANDATE for it. Plus, a government sponsored health care system is way beyond the powers of the central government as provided by the constitution.

  • How was he able to afford open heart surgery. What role did the government play in your Insurance company canceling the policy.

All I have to worry at the time is blood pressure..Can't imagine any other medical issues.

I hope all is well with you and your family.

  • my father who suffered a heart attack almost 10 years ago was able to afford open heart surgery. almost immediately afterwards, under the current republican campaign, his policy was terminated due to his health conditions. If you have not experienced the discrimination of our current health care system consider your self lucky. my family meanwhile is unable to obtain affordable healthcare, nontheless be accepted. mandates will not pass do not fear. my family sees a glimmer of hope only in obama.
