Isn't it wonderful to sing this magical piece? To create these sonorous chords with your fellow choristers, to "hang on to" your director's hands and facial expression?
I hope that you enjoyed it, and will cherish the memory.
As to the performance, I think the recording does not do it justice. The soprano's do a fine job - but recorded from this distance the choir is dominated by their sound. You can balance the chords better by recording from a closer distance, and with a good microphone.
