is it in the balanchine technique to not put down your heels in plié? that is sooo bad for you...

I actually didn't think they were all that great. Comparing them to myself, yes I think better in some ways. But comparing them to others at their level... They were pretty average. They didn't have enough soul in their dancing to catch me I guess. Plus, I was kind of grossed out at the extreme knuckling @00:48... That needs corrected.
But it does take skill and strength to dance on pointe, period, so hats off to them(:

They don't seem to use their heels to push them up to relevé, even at the barre. Is this one of the ways of doing plié ?

Do you guys not realize this is a class taught by Suki Schorer, a former dancer with the New York City Ballet, and teacher at the School of American Ballet? She is teaching Balanchine technique, and the arms look good!
