  • dog hair would be fine with a short draw. I have done all fibers, you just need to adjust your draw. good luck.

  • I would love to do a plying video. I will work on that for the near future. Thank you for witting. Happy spinning!

  • I have a problem of too much twist in my yarn (both spun with a drop spindle and by wheel) is my problem with drafting or having too much/fast spinning? Or just balancing the two? Thanks

  • Would you reccomend using this technique to spin dog hair?

  • Fantastic Video! I think I might finally use the roving for something!

  • I've seen several videos now, all the Whorls are at the top of the spindle, and the wool is wrapped beneath it. My new spindle (not spun before) has the hook at the other end - making the whorl at the bottom, leaving a short stub to spin with - is there any difference REALLY? Thanks for the video!

  • Great video! My 12- year old has a box full of angora from her new rabbits. She is doing a 4-H project on spinning. We just got her drop spindle in the mail.

  • I like that you did not start spinning with a threader piece (did that make sense?) Most vids I've viewed have this small piece of yarn to start the process; you did not. That makes sense to me.

Thanks Ms. Pam, for sharing with neophytes like myself. Please keep up the good work.

  • This was an excellent video for a newbie spindler which is what I am!

Please add more videos and make a complete series on this topic. You

are excellent re; explaining the process in a plain and simple yet informative kind of way. Not too much info - just enough for a newbie!

  • Pam thanks soo much! I live in Barcelona, Spain and here, nobody does this. I;ve ordered my first drop spindle so you'll be my teacher. I'll check in your website! My best regards!

  • I really liked this video. Please make more info type spinning videos... your were great at explaining and illustrating the techneic
