News:
On July 29, 2008, Activision dropped World in Conflict: Soviet Assault, among other games from their productions, putting the future of World in Conflict: Soviet Assault in question.
On August 6, 2008, Activision Blizzard put up Massive Entertainment for sale.[ On November 11, Massive was acquired by Ubisoft.

On January 22, 2009, Ubisoft announced the March, 2009 release of the Windows version of the game


RELEASE DATE: I've discovered that in the Australian EBgames website, it is listed that the retail version of Soviet Assault will be released on 12/03/2009.

@aussieblackhawk123 I can think of no other military vehicle that the very sight of it chills my bones. I know there are far more powerful vehicles, but the hind is a massive, highly versatile, killing machine.

@davedavedaveannoy1 Well t-80s cant be paradropped by parachute...this is a game.

But if this sceen was real dont you think all the surrounding building would have been bombarded to hell already? But yes i got your point.

@olapessoal100 When a tank is dropped via parachute it is vulnerable until it can touch the ground and deploy. Under normal circumstances a sniper would be powerless against an armored vehicle however, since that vehicles arrival and safe travel to the ground is based off 3 parachutes its immensely delicate. If a sniper took put a few holes in those chutes the pressure and wind resistance would tear them and leave a 60 ton metal deathcage to free fall 1000m to the earth. Thats my point.

@davedavedaveannoy1 Yeah,cuz obviosly a sniper can totally penetrate a tank,and the paratroops are just gonna sit there doing nothing till they reach the ground.....
