What kennel cough sounds like

I'm uploading this on because our dog has been diagnosed with kennel cough. She was boarded for two days at a kennel's close to our home, because we were out of town. As soon as she began to cough, we took her straight to the vet, who told us that this can be prevented with an innoculation. The vet advised us to take her to get the shot one week before, if we need to board her in the future. Now poor Chloe is on cough medicine to ease her throat and antibiotics. Hopefully, this video will help others to make a quick diagnosis, if their dog is having similar symptoms.

My puppy has kennel cough and she always looks like she throws up saliva or something like that. We thought she had a stomach ache till she started coughing. So we took her to the vet and she was dehidrated(or how ever you spell it) and she had a fever. My poor girly girl. :(

Sounds like she had a bit of congestion and I'm not sure if the high temperatre causes the dehydration or the dehydration causes the high temperature...but once you get some medication to help the symptoms, my dogs got their appetite and energy back. Sometimes kennel cough is mild and goes away on it's own, but sometimes they do need a little help to kick the bug, especially if they are very young or very old.

i thought my dog might have heartworms because she has a shorting cough when shes excited. but i think she has kennels cough.

@n7c7m7p8 Thanks yea its been tough without him. But my mom and I are ok. At least he is not sufforing anymore. And that helps us cope with the loss. Bless you too :)

@bambina320 I'm so sorry to hear your pet went away. it is maybe better for him as now he's no longer suffering. it's sad though you need to go through suffering now. :( stay strong, and you'll be ok. I hope you're doing well, otherwise with everything else. Stay blessed!!!

@asapice1 would you mind telling me how you use it? How much of this Doxycycline hyclate 100 mg tablet would you give your dog? So glad to hear you treat your dogs. Good for you and I'm proud of your hard work with all 18 dogs. :)
